«YIKA» means «round» in Yoruba, a Nigerian national language. The orange circles illuminate in front of the strong blue background and will wrap your child like the wings of a butterfly. «YIKA» is harmonizing and invigorating, just like an African sunset. With the «YIKA» sling you will always want to carry your baby and discover the freedom and easiness that comes with baby wearing.
Our slings are handmade and not produced industrially. Therefore, every sling is unique and may differ slightly from the displaced image.
The Kedu Slings are made from 100% cotton and are therefore machine-washable. To protect the colors, we recommend washing at 40° and only use the 60° program for very heavy stains.
We buy our fabric exclusively from local producers to support the Nigerian Textile industry, which is under increasing pressure from the mangy counterfeits produced in China. With your purchase of a Kedu Sling you make a social contribution to the preservation of culture and job retention in Nigeria.
